The Wrong Side of Chuck Norris is a Bad Place to Be
In line with the other movies in his filmography, An Eye for an Eye features Chuck Norris doing what Chuck Norris does, tuning the bad guys up. Many things stand out in this movie, and it is as enjoyable as any of Chuck’s other films but not his best. One scene features a striped helicopter chasing his character. Christophe Lee is in this movie and is on the wrong side of Chuck Norris – bad place to be.
In this installment of Chuck’s filmography, he plays a narcotics agent whose partner gets killed. He begins to dig into the case and eventually goes berserk about all of it. Needless to say, this puts him in bad standing with the police department. Chuck Norris playing the role of Kane doesn’t stop here. No, he takes up closing the case as a civilian. Naturally for a Chuck Norris film, this means a lot of martial arts. This is why we watch Chuck though.
More Cool Actors in Eye for an Eye
An Eye for an Eye had a lot of interesting things to offer besides Chuck Norris tuning people up – one, literally with his hands tied behind his back. Cityscapes that this movie offered were cool to see. Bridges, like the Golden Gate Bridge, were seen in the movie and many other city shots too. Volkswagen vehicles are seen a few times in this movie too which is always enjoyable. Mako, yes, Conan the Barbarian’s wizard friend, was in this movie as Chuck Norris’ martial arts teacher. He played the same character just as a teacher and not a wizard. As the wizard in Conan, he was great. Professor Tanu Tanaka had his debut role in this film too. Tanaka was a wrestler and was also featured in The Perfect Weapon. He too plays the same character in every film.
Talk About Home Security
Home for Chuck Norris in An Eye for an Eye was the “safest place” in the city. Of course it was the safest place in the city – Chuck Norris lived there. Moving on, Chuck Norris’ character built the home, and it was a fortress. Windows had bars, there were remote gates (even one surrounding his boat), and a security system. Voicemail messages were recorded on a vintage machine. This was a trip back in time. There was a guard dog too. It was a lab. Not sure why he didn’t have a Rottweiler but when Chuck Norris lives there what do you really need? It was funny that one of the characters in the movie named McCoy said about Chuck Norris’ character, “He is a weapon.” You got that right McCoy; you got that right.
Chuck's Camaro
Camaros are cool for any reason and always. When Chuck Norris drives a Camaro though, you know it’s cool. Fire engine red was the color of the one driven by Chuck in this movie with white interior. At one point, a wrecker was about to load this amazing car onto his trailer and tow it for illegal parking. Owner, Chuck Norris, unhooked the chains and corrected the gentleman. He must have realized who he was talking too because he quickly recanted what he said and backed down. Good move on his part or he would have been another person who got tuned up with some 80s karate action.
Closing Thoughts on Eye for an Eye
I enjoy all things Chuck Norris because Chuck Norris has become a legend. I grew up on his films and still watch today. He may not make the best martial arts movies but, there is one thing for sure about him. He is a real martial artist and could really do a lot of what he does on the screen. I can see Chuck tuning up a small army by himself. That’s more than you can say about a lot of the 80s and 90s guys that played martial artists.
