Sublime’s New Album is Phenomenal – A Must Listen

Heroin is a terrible thing and we have lost so many great people to this devil. The late Bradley Nowell of Sublime is in this number. I remember 1996 and hearing “What I Got” playing on all the rock stations I listened to. Sublime had such a unique sound, and they still do. I have never heard anything that has that Sublime style. In the 90s, grunge was still huge. Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and many others were my favorites. Sublime, even though they sounded so different, were just as appealing. 1996 marked the release of Sublime’s third album which was self-titled. A few weeks later, also in 1996, marked the heroin overdoes of Bradley Nowell. This album, and most popular track “What I Got”, would make Sublime blow up. It is so unfortunate that Bradly never got to see the success of Sublime.

Galaxina Movie Poster

You’re Crazy – Fall In Love with a Robot?

“Comedy” in this movie was of a Monty Python fashion, not that of Ace Ventura Pet Detective. For instance, an example of comedy in this movie is the gang that captures Galaxina. They are a motorcycle gang that rides horses and worships a god named “Ali David Son” (Harley Davidson). Although the humor was overall very irritating to me, there were 3 times that I actually laughed at some of it. So, a plus for this film, it got me three laughs. Many sound effects from other movies were “borrowed” in this movie. Normally, when I watch sci-fi, I like to watch serious sci-fi and not comical.

Hard to Kill Steven Segal Original Movie Poster

Solid Real Life Training Routine in Hard To Kill

The story in this movie is better than most for Segal. Surprise surprise he plays a cop again who uncovers some dirty people. Once he won’t back down, his home is invaded, and his wife is killed. He is put in a coma and takes revenge via Aikido and a gun 7 years later. His son escapes and is hidden by a friend. He even has a senator thrown in jail. How great would it be if crooked politicians really went to prison? Honestly, you expect the cop or CIA deal, but the rest of this story was a good plot idea. It stands out from the other Segal films to me. As I’ve said before, they are all essentially the same movie but this one stands out to me as far as the story goes.

Chuck Norris Eye for an Eye Movie Poster

Bad Place to be – The Wrong Side of Chuck Norris

In line with the other movies in his filmography, An Eye for an Eye features Chuck Norris doing what Chuck Norris does, tuning the bad guys up. Many things stand out in this movie, and it is as enjoyable as any of Chuck’s other films but not his best. One scene features a striped helicopter chasing his character. Christophe Lee is in this movie and is on the wrong side of Chuck Norris – bad place to be.
